Their Rules
- No alcoholic drinks.
- Permitted drinks: Black coffee, tea, lemon/grapefruit juice without sugar.
- No milk, butter or fats.
- NO EATING BETWEEN MEALS
- Abstain from all not included in diet. Eat what is shown or go without.
- ONLY DIET FOR ONE WEEK IN THREE - TWO WEEKS OFF
- No substitutes allowed. The basis of the diet is chemical, not the quantities.
- Lunch and dinner may be swapped but only on the same day.
- GUARANTEED TO LOSE ONE STONE IN ONE WEEK.
My Tips
- The grapefruit sourness is a lot more bearable with pink grapefruit. Also, if you have a sweet tooth normally, bear in mind that grapefruit sweetens a lot in the last stages of ripening.
- I am used to eating like a pig, and thus had a lot of “empty stomach - must fill” type feelings. Drinking lots of water filled me up temporarily.
- If you are desperate for flavour on some of the blander dishes, add a little lemon juice. On the list of allowed drinks and can pep up things nicely.
- If you try the diet and it works for you, leave me a comment. I’m curious to see if it works for other people.
I also note the incredibly long list of comments from the previous location of this page - they are listed below...

I started using a calorie tracker online as well, and it looks like this diet really does well for calorie restriction (around 1000-1200kcal/day) If your burning around 3000 kcal/day naturally, you’d expect to lose about 4 lbs/week just from that. So this came out ahead.
What I did find, though, was that it’s not too hard to stick to this one. Good thing I like grapefruit juice…

Also Dave, I’m sure it says one week because It doesn’t contain everything you need to keep your body healthy, or similair so therefore you need to go back to regular diet after a week before u can go again, however it will train you to eat less therefore you won’t eat as much on your weeks off as you would normally.

If it’s the sourness, try pink grapefruit, they’re sweeter. Still an aquired taste though.

Moti Said,
what is three day version of this diet
Kayleigh Said,
It’s not the same diet, but this one’s also designed for pre-operation weight loss. (It’s much better if u have a sweet tooth though!)
It claims you can lose 10lbs in the three days and i lost six…so its still pretty good. You’re only supposed to do it once a week (3 days on…4 days off)
Hope it’s helpful if you don’t have the willpower to stick to the above one.
I’m on day 2 of the week one and its goin well though.

I ate 1 grapefruit around noon and a packet of prawns in the evening!
Plus i exercised for 2 hours per day. I wouldnt recommend it, but the weight flies off! But you must lift sum weights so you dont lose muscle instead of fat.
Also drink loads of water and try hard not to die. I had to lose two stone for something and had no choice. I was 12 now 10 and a half with 3 days left.

Over the last two years my weight has creaped back up again and I weighed-in this morning at 11st 6lbs. I lost my copy of this diet and was therefore delighted to find it here. I am starting again today and hope to reach 10st 7lbs by this time next week.
By the way, when we did the diet last time my wife insisted that she had read somewhere that no nintake of salt, pepper, vinegar, garlic or any such flavouriings was permitted. This made for some miserable meals i can tell you. I am nmot sure if she is correct. Does anyone know? I would be so grateful for your advise on this one. For now I will assume she was incorrect and will use basic flavourings. Thanks. Rahim (London)

Does anyone know whether the fruit can be eaten throughout the day or just at the meal times? I imagine meal times only is probably safer!
Additionally, does anyone know if any of the salad and friut items are restricted?
Finally, sorry, i do not know if you can swap beef for the chicken. What I do know is that here in the uk, where we have had an outbreak of Avian Flu this week, the scientists are adamant that there has never been a single case worldwide of anyone catching Bird Flu from EATING an infected animal, so the risk with chicken is minimal.

rahim Said,
Sammi, you can drink grapefruit juice instead of eating grapefruits. I did that last time and lost 12 lbs in a week.
Natasha. Good Luck. As for excercise you cant do too much on this diet as you are not consuming enough calories and may damage your health if you excercise too much. I would advise regular brisk walks, perhaps 30 minutes twice a day. Believe me, if you stick to the diet you WILL shift that weight.
I will keep an eye out for your progress.
natasha Said,
thanks for ur support. its great knowing that everyones doing it together, its definately making it easier for me!
one question- can i eat bananas as part of the fruit section? they re quite filling, but wanted to check before eating one.
keep going guys!
rahim Said,
I have cheated a little bit with skimmed milk in my tea and some vinegar and tabasco dressings to the salad and grilled meat. I also ate 4 lamb chops instead of two. I don’t mind if i don’t lose a whole stone. Last time i lost less than a stone during the diet but was motivated by that weight loss to lose more through healthy eating afterwards.
Natasha, as for bananas, i usually eat one per fruit session. I did that last time as well.
Something i remember from last time is that most of the weight came off right at the end of the diet. I’m hoping the same happens again.
Hope it goes well.
natasha Said,
i’m sooo annoyed at myself! I tried to avoid the chinese at my mates bday bash tonight but failed miserably!
can anyone tell me- do i re-do today or start all over or go straight to tomorrows diet?
cant believe it! haha.
hope you guys are doing better than me! definatley will not be going off tracks again though!

speak to ya soon and good luck with ya 1st day!

Good luck everyone and please wish me luck as i think i will need it.
Karen Said,
Karen Said,
any other tips anyone?
some of you guys said your use flavourings such as vinegar and tobasco is this honestly ok?
natasha Said,
Jackie Said,
My BMI was worked out by my weight and height , I have had lots of ops over the last 2 years, due to endometrosis, which had strangled my bowel and I had an emergency op to remove part of my bowel, when I came round, I also had a colostomy, as the surgens thought the tumours were cancer, finally last Jan (06) I had a dual op consisting of a full hystorectomy, my insides cleaned of all endrometriosis and the clostomy reversed-unfortunately I got MRSA and my tummy has been left in a bad way and I am hopefully going in for plastic surgery on the 3rd April, only I was told yesterday, that if I did not get my BMI down to below 26 the op would be cancelled, so you can understand why this diet really has to work for me,
I am exerising at home using a lateral thigh trainer, however I am on medication which keeps the weight on me, since Jan 06 I have put on 2+1/2 stone and gone from a size 12 to a 16+
The weight side does not bother me but I really want the plastic surgery and tummy tuck for my self esteem, as it not a nice sight!
going for my salad now, I have found today quite easy…so far??????
natasha Said,
wow u poor love, ya have had a really bad time with all this.I can totally see why ya want this to work. i’m sorry that i havent been able to stick to it , as if i had i cud tell ya for def if it works. to b honest im findin it really hard. i understand the principles and even pre-prepare all my food but im a terrible food addict. i’m great till dinner and then i just lose the plot. i’m guna keep tryin tho. ill start again tomorrow cos i realy believe that this diet will work. one thing i’ll def do is keep ya motivated. just make sure ya listen to ya body too- as ya are so fragile make sure that u dont push yaself too far.
haha wat do ya think of the lateral thigh trainer? i have that too but lik my diet i hardly follow the plan. have u found it effective? x
Jackie Said,
What do you guys put in your salad - I had lettuce, tomato, red pepper, celery, spring onion and beetroot - is this okay???
I have eaten more today than I normally eat - my god chicken and steak tomorrow - are you sure this will help me loose weight?????
Jackie Said,
Good Luck tomorrow, I have found today (day one) really easy,
I think that chatting with others on the diet really helps , so keep in touch and speak to you all tomorrow
Jackie
natasha Said,
well it does seem to work! it’s amazing to read what everyone has written,it sees to work for those who can stick to it. I have switched diets today to the fat burning diet:
http://www.slimmingsolutions.co.uk/slimmingblog/?p=29
the reason i have switched is because i exercise 4hrs a day and with working in a nightclub at night (and not stoppin all day!) i found that i needed snacks. this diet is ideal for those who need to eat more frequently and it is also very healthy as there is a great rejuvenation soup and lots of fruit and veg involved. the diet discussed on this forum is fantastic and if you can follow it i think it’ll work- just personally i need more food. however, if this fat burn diet doesnt work ill go back to this.
if anyone has tried the new diet im doin can you pls tell me if it works!
good luck guys, remember it’s all in the mind! make yourselves proud x
Karen Said,
didnt manage to start today as its my shopping day today so i thought i would get everything i need tonite and start tomorrow.

Are you sticking to everything or are you changing things slightly?
Im not sure how i will cope with the drinks, i dont like coffee and i dnt like blk tea or lemon juice really so its just gonna be water which is fine but not for a whole week!!!

Anonymous Said,
Just wanted to add my bit
I am on day 7 and boiling up a bit of spinach as we speak.
So far the diet does seem to be working, I have definately lost weight but as I don’t weigh myself I can’t say in pounds, however my jeans are loose now
I will say that this diet is not for those who lack willpower as you can feel quite hungry at times and need to be strict. I found that keeping myself busy and having a chug of grapefruit juice helped to stave off the hunger. I also ate my meals as late as possible…i.e breakfast at 11, lunch at 3 and dinner at 7. Once you pass day 4 you are laughing
Good luck
Jo
I will definately be recommending the diet on my site http://www.ewegotit.com when it is finished :p
Jackie Said,

Think today mite be hard as i am going out so i wont be at home to prepare my meals. so not to sure how it is gonna plan out.
Sai - i was probably gonna do the same as u and have just salad, but as i’m only on day 2 i dont know if it will still work or not, i should think so.
Any one doing any exercise? surely we must need to tone up.
Have a good day all.
Jag Said,
I’m starting the diet on Sunday but I don’t eat meat.
I saw the veg version from RIKKU - would you still lose the same amount as the meat diet? If so then i’ll do the one Rikku sent. Please let me know as i really want to lose weight. Thanks x
karen Said,
i was out shopping through lunch so i had a go-head bar to keep me going, then when i cam home i have had 2 slices of dry toast and tomatoes and a pack of mini chedders.

im not sure about whether eatin sumthin else stops ya losin weight all together- after all your eating around 800 cals a day so ya will lose it but in order to lose the stone i would stick to it by the letter. is there somthin u dont lik or are u havin snacks? im a terrible snacker but when i need a snack i just try n occupy myself- take a shower, a walk, do 100 situps read the paper or a mag…if ya really strugglin u cud put a pic up of the body u want (a photo or a mag image) n look at it. also u cud try herbal tea, i have a sweet tooth n drink peppermint n liquorice when i get cravings. i’ve come up with loads of game plans for moments of weakness, u just have to think about wat drives u to diet and wat ur goals are n then make some form of stimuli to power through. if all else fails down a pint of water (not with meal tho).
sorry for this long message, if anyone needs any more tips or ideas let me know good luck guys xx

I’m on day 6 now of this diet and last weighed myself on day 5 and had so far lst 7lbs, my clothes feel looser and i feel ok. Yes I’ve had the odd hunger pang and felt slightly dizzy at times but I’ve got some tricks for ya all.
Ok let me give a little advice to everyone as i studied nutrition.First of all, as K says above, this diet is only for the serious. If your going keep on stopping and starting it your metabolism is gonna get confused, which means rather than keeping reg or speeding up its gonna be constantly trying to regulate itself which means it will slow down in the process. Ur metabolism works on a delayed system relyng on what u’ve eaten a couple of days before. Thats why doing this 1 wk out of 3 etc is good. It is good to change ur eating habits regularly to kickstart ur m/bolism but its not good to constantly confuse it.
Ok the reason why this is probably called a chemical diet is because of the food groups ur eating and when. Brown toast is mainly in the morn as is a slow releasing carb therefore helping you keep full for longer. Eggs and chkn are a great sorce of protein, the salad and fruits provide your vitamins and the red meats supply you with the B12 vitamins. The foods and meals have been written down for a reason so all these people who want to chop and change it should perhaps look for a different diet.
Ok heres how i’ve survived it so far:
Drink loads of water, this really does fill you up. I drink about 2lts a day.
If i get a hunger pang mid meal i drink some g/fruit juice which really helped me.
I’m not a fan of salad at all, but I love coriander in my salad which really pepped it up and gave it flavour.
For all you veggies out there asking ? I suggest on the days theres chkn you have some quorn or something thats high in protein, on the days of the red meat take a b12 supplement.
Oh another thing i found was I really don’t eat or like alot of bread but i ound this lovely bread made by Burgeon, whcih was wholemeal with cranberries etc. Beautiful and takes the edge off o eating dry toast..
linaclara Said,
Grapefruit is one of natures great natural fat burners and diuretics…so if you don’t like g/fruit then don’t do this diet. If the g/fruit is to be eating as a meal have it first as a starter.
Another thing i Love which is good and allowed on this diet is green tea. Green tea can burn up to 80 calories a day if you drink 3 cups or more a day..so give it a try..you get lots of different flavours to make things exciting too.

I go to the Hospital on Friday and I want to get below 11 stone, before then , so they dont refuse my operation.
Take note of what Linaclara says about green tea and the grapefruit juice as I drank loads of it last time I was on the diet and it does work, I even kept on it when I wasnt dieting,my sisters are taking green tea capsules as well!havent tried them myself -but they are suposed to work?

Jackie Said,
This is my second time around and YES its deffinately harder,
I had a real bingy weekend as you can see by my earlier post, and started the diet on Monday - I weighed in at 11 stone 4 lb, and i have stuck to the diet however today I only weigh in at 11 stone 2lb and I am starting day 4….could this be because I eat and boozed over the weekend and the extra weight has stayed off or the diet is not as good the second time as your body is used to it? maybe thats why it should be every 3 weeks? does anyone have the answer?
Tash and Jenny are you guys still with me on day 4???????
I am going to stick it out , last time the weight lost was in the first 4 days, maybe this time it will be in the last 4 days?

it definately shows that you have lost weight, everyone is commenting on how slim I look, and also I got into a pair of jeans today that would not fasten by about 3 inches and when my hubbi came in from work, he said “those jeans are hanging off you” so yes the inches do come off ,this is my second go at the diet I had a weeks break and then started again on Monday, I dont seem to be loosing it off the scales as quick this time but the inches are coming of instead, so thats good .
good luck

I read all of your posts yesterday and decided to start the diet today… I will probably have a few drinks tomorrow as it is my birthday but will try to stick to the food - I thought it was better to cheat a little rather than not start at all!
Memei, I’m in a similar position to you - 11 st 9lbs and 5ft4. I really want to get back down to 9st. Maybe we could help to motivate one another?
Oh well back to the fruit bowl..let’s see how I am feeling by Monday!
Lou
Jackie Said,
When I started this diet for the first time I was the same as you 12stone,(5ft 4-5) well after christmas I was 12stone 6 , and I had tried different diets and lost the 6 lb, then I tried this diet ,did not cheat and only eat and drank the allowed food and drink - I lost 10lbs in the first week, then had a normal week and a boozy weekend and eat loads, then tried again- deffo a lot harder than the first time, I have done this diet for 3 days no cheating- but then last night on day four i could not bring myself to eat another boiled egg, so I had a pasta…….however my goal was to take of the weight for my surgery…just got back from the hospital and I have got my BMI down to 26 -yes tummy tuck is on -!I feel great, have lost inches ,as I said in an earlier post-jeans that would not fasten up are now too big and in total I have lost 1stone and 4lbs - this diet has done it for me…I am having the weekend off and having a few drinks and I will start day one again on monday - just to make sure my weight stays or goes below 11stone 2lb - Then I go in hospital on the 3rd April and have my op on the 4th good bye MRSA scars + colstomy scar and hello flat scar free tummy - OMG I might be able to have my belly button pierced again!
Good Luck everyone -this does work - you need to stick with it -I would have lost more weight only I did not do any exercise - so with exercise the stone in a week is acheivable
Have a nice weekend and I will be back on Monday - hopefully with a hang over - got to celebrate my success - life would be boring if we didnt let our hair down every now and again - G+T on the rocks - oh I will be good and have a slimline tonic with the LARGE GIN!

the diet is v v strict. at the top of the page it does say u cant eat anything other thatn whats on the list. and dairy seems to be restricted completely, so altho activa yoghourts are v healthy it would probs be best nott o have it as the basis of the diet is chemical, and it could somehow alter the chemical reaction that takes place in ur body that causes such drastic weight loss.
altho im sure that if u did have a yoghourt u would lose weight, just not as much. good luck tho whatever u do!

I successfully completed the diet… don’t know how much weight I lost as I don’t use scales however my clothes were loose and people were commenting on how slim I looked. I imagine I lost around 10lb to a stone. Bad news is even after keeping up a health diet (including the very occasional take away) and exercising alost every day, I have pretty much put back on all the weight I lost. So in total probably shifted about 2lb overall!
I kind of expected this as you cannot obviously sustain such a strict diet but I had hoped that with my generally healthy lifestyle that I could keep most of it off.
My advice to meimei is eat the Haagen and enjoy life. Go run round the block afterward :p
Sorry this is not better news but I thought it was only fair to report my unfortunate news

i was starving to an my frst coulpe of days but you get used to it.i lost 9pound last week but im jus following my own healthy eating plan this week and doing it agen nxt week. you wont be able to replace the eggs with anything, substitutes are not allowed because its a chemical diet and uve probly noticed the weird combination of stuff like egg n spinach? yuck! but they react together in some chemical way and its the spinach what breaks the egg down, same with the grapfruit whatever you eat it with it will be breakin the fat down. il jus let you no tho that you will feel tired, have the odd headache and may go abit moody im used to eatin loads so it was a big change wen i started it but you get used to it. good luck to you both and if you feel like tempation is gettin the better of you THINK THIN GIRLS! I am normally quite sensible about dieting , but have gradually gained 2 stone in the last 18 months and feel really miserable about it. I must admit I am looking for a “quick fix” as I cannot bear being 13 stone any longer, so I intend to follow the diet for 2 weeks, and hopefully lose a stone (any more would be a bonus!) The food on the diet is my sort of stuff anyway, although I am worried about the quantity! I have started this morning, with my tomatoes on toast. My biggest problem is that I am a coffee addict, and I am already struggling without my fix. (Can’t drink it black).
I will let you know how I get on!
Donald Said,
Polly Said,
Have weighed in on day 2, and lost 5lb, which is great, but I am under no illusion that most of it will be water! I have not found it too difficult so far, and stuck to it carefully. My only “cheat” has been a couple of teaspoons of skimmed milk powder in my cups of coffee (3 or 4 cups a day). I think the pink grapefruit really help, as they seem to curb my appetite. Apart from feeling like I’m ready for my meals at the appropriate time, I actually feel much better for doing it, although I think this is probably down to eating such crap since Christmas. I am currently trying to work out a maintenance plan to start when I finish this diet in about 12 days. Any ideas? Another positive is that I can (almost) feed my husband and 2 young daughters the same evening meal, with the addition of extra’s such as pototoes, bread and veg. I will post again later in the week with my progress.

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO COULDN’T COMPLETE THE DIET just comfort yourself with the thought that fad diets never keep the weight off forever and they often just end up making you feel crappy about not finishing them / not keeping the weight off and feed your belief that you won’t look good until you lose however many pounds. A belief which ultimatly isn’t true at all as really you won’t look good unless you believe you look good and you have more body confidence, which truely has nothing to do with how much you weigh. So really the best thing to do is sit down and watch a few episodes of ‘how to look good naked’ and think yeah, this is how I look and i’m beautiful, and I can assure you when you realise that you won’t be the only one who thinks you have become suddenly more lovely. FACT!

I’m also on Day 5 and really really struggling, but so far have stuck to it religiously. I’ve lost 4lbs (although I’m not massively overweight and have had no exercise). Today feels really hard having just a glass of grapefruit juice for breakfast with just fruit to look forward to! But as it states there should be no more than 3 meals a day, nothing in between I’ve had no fruit or anything else between meals.
So far, this is the only diet that’s helped me lose anything in a very long time, so although it’s just a 4lb loss I still see it as successfully.
You’ve done so well so far, just today and tomorrow to get through!
laura Said,
I’d like to reach 7 and a half stone as i’m only very short, i’m currently 7.12 do you think this’d be possible in another week?

David Said,
This sounds a good starting point to loosing those excess pounds and as long as you keep up regular exercise, hopefully the weight will stay off.
Just before I start could someone answer a few questions please?
Any Fruit at all? Any Amount
How many eggs in the Scrambled eggs (No milk or Butter)?
How much Steak, Chicken and Lamb? Less fatty the better?
Salad, how much and what?
Thanks for any feedback
Anonymous Said,
laura Said,
The scrambled eggs- i used 2 and they taste fine with no milk in just wisk and put em in the micro.
As the for the meat i ate 3 chops on the day it says 2, and 2 chicken breasts and a big stake as it says it doesnt matter about the quantities cos its chemical and filled up with loadsa salad, cos i figure its best to increase the quantity than end up snacking later in the day (Remember your tea needs to fill you up right through till breakfast the next day!!)
Good Luck i’m starting this again tomorrow, let me know how you get on !!!!
laura Said,

Kay Said,
Well done for starting again on this one this week. I found it too restrictive and am doing a different diet for the next 2 weeks and then I’ll look at doing this again.
Grapefruit juice is meant to be a fat burner, so I can understand too much would damage your stomach lining. I personally wouldn’t drink more than 1litre a day, although I’d struggle with that to be honest.
I was the same as you with the meat. If it didn’t give an amount I ate as much as I wanted to!
Good luck this week, although if you lost 5lb last week, I expect you’ll lose that or a little less this week as your body is getting used to a lack of food now and won’t burn it off as quickly as before.

How are you getting on now? All set for your holiday and back on track after your binge?
I really don’t know how you kept this up for more than a week! I know I couldn’t do it. I’ve maintained my weight loss though with a new diet and I’ll go back to this in a couple of weeks. Hope you’ve managed to get to your holiday goal weight.

Mr T Said,
Well thought I’d share my experiences with everyone else (since you all inspired me). I tried this diet roughly 7 weeks ago and lost 1 stone exactly, but what I think helped me the most was having a week of preparation before the diet started. I reduced my quantities and whenever I was hungry, i only snacked on chopped up carrot, cucumber, celery & mixed seeds. For the morning I had 3 pieces of fruit (Apple, Banana and an Orange (mandarin, Satsuma, etc)), 1 salad for lunch and the evening was a regular meal (not too fatty), inbetween meals I was snacking on seeds and the raw veg mix (Carrot, celery, etc). doing that just that for one week prior, I lost 9lbs, so it put me in good stead to do the diet (I don’t recommend just jumping right in there if, like me, you have more than a 3 stone you would ideally like to lose). I managed to lose 2 stone roughly, and am now going for the 3rd stone (this week), using this diet. Again, I built up to doing this diet by eating sensible over the last week.
I did try this diet again 3 weeks ago, but i started to feel really drained and had headaches (which i usually get when I don’t eat a lot… lol), so I stopped and am now starting it again (feel fine, and it’s only been day 2 so far… better to start on SUnday, in my opinion).
I must confess that I don’t follow it to the letter of the law (I’m a Pescetarian, so I only eat seefood). It says “No substitues” but seems to work fine when I substitue the meat for fish. I usually eat a lot of the tinned fish (Mackerel, Sardines, etc). If i have grilled fish, I make sure I remove the skin first. I’ve been trying to lose weight for years now, so I’m pleased I’ve got to this stage so far. I’ve probably got another 3 stone to lose after this, but I know now that I’m well on my way.
Thank you all for your uplifting and inspiring stories, we are proof that this diet works, but we should just not overdo it and make sure you maintain the weight level for a bit (sort of tricking your body into stabilising). I’ll be doing execise with this one (Jogging in the morning, followed by sit-ups, crunches & press-ups before I go to bed), so i don’t know how it’s going to be, I’ll report back later
For those having difficulties, do not worry! Don’t give up either (it’s taken me over 10 years to get here!). Eat sensible and know your limits… You will lose the weight when the time is right (that’s my belief).
God bless
Mr T
cee Said,
p.s. having the most bloody immense chocolate and jelly babies cravings ever!
Michelle Said,
I just found this diet last night and it’s like my lifesaver, I so desperately need it! I am going away to get married in 1 week and I have failed at all the diets I tried since Christmas (hubby to be has no willpower and I gave in also.. can’t bear to watch others eating chocolate!)
I am doing day 1, had dry toast for breakfast (no tomatoes) and 2 satsumas, an apple and a nectarine for lunch. I also had a glass of grapefruit juice with my breakfast.
I have over a stone to lose but any weight loss at this stage will help. I can’t fit into any of my holiday clothes and I am so depressed! I never had a weight problem before, but when I was pregnant I put on loads. It’s so hard to do any diet. But a week hopefully will motivate me to start eating health again and the hot weather in Spain will help!
Does anyone know, will it help with cellulite? I have loads since I was pregnant and its so embarrassing. I am using the new nivea cream for the last 4 weeks but i don’t really see any difference.
Also if anyone else is on day 1 and needs a diet partner that would be great! I am dreading getting into a bikini, and all the family is also going away so I can’t bear the thought of everyone looking at how fat I am.
For the record, when I met my husband to be (6 years ago) I was 8 stone 4, never had a weight problem before. Now I am 10 stone 2 - how did I let things get this bad??? I hope I can lose at least half a stone this week. Good luck to you all.
PS I am wearing a bikini at home at night to remind myself of why I am doing this… if I can feel all the jiggly bits it might help me keep to the diet!!

i had a little “snack” last night. i did well until like 10 pm. i had fallen asleep but was woken up by my mom. i was having really bad hunger pains so i crashed and had some potato salad and a chocolate pop sickle (low fat) i was so mad at myself, but i realized this was a stupid time to start a diet. usually there is nothing to temp me, but my mom just had surgery and people keep on bring yummy food i have decided i will try this diet in a couple of months. but i did weigh myself today and i lost a pound, so i guess if i hadn’t of eaten last night, i would have lost 2! oh well.
Thanks for the support Leese, and i hope you lose the weight you want to!

Katy Said,
I tried a similar diet (Scared Heart) diet a month or so ago and lost 10lbs in a week, which I was really pleased with. I have since lost my way and feel like I have most/all of it back on, so am going to try this one, now I know I can stick to strict diets.
One tip - once you come off of it, make sure you stick to healthy eating. I felt fantastic after I lost the weight and it’s so depressing knowing I have put it back on again
I am going to plan the ‘aftermath’ a lot better this time and make sure it stays off!!
Will let you know how I get on

Katy Said,
I’m on Day 3 and so far so good. I found the first day the hardest, but since then I don’t remember a time where I have been genuinely hungry. This diet really has proven what a little amount of food my body actually needs. I haven’t had any cravings so far and although I’m not sure what the weight loss is so far, I do feel slimmer and more comfortable already. (Want to save it for the end!) It has also worked in my favour that I have a stinking cold, as I haven’t had much of an appetite and last night I was so exhausted, I went to bed at 8, which stopped me getting peckish later on in the evening!
As I said before, I am having squash with my water, but I wouldn’t be able to drink vast quantities without it (I am drinking about 2 litres a day). Looking forward to the lamb tonight! Yum!!
Alex Said,
Good luck!
Katy Said,
I’m finding today really good. I’ve only had a slice of dry toast for breakfast and two apples for lunch, but because I’ve been drinking water, I don’t feel at all hungry - ordinarily I would be absolutely starving!!
I like this plan because unline the Sacred Heart diet, I feel this is more feasible to do long term, or at least regularly.
Alex Said,
I am dying to get on the scales as my clothes feels bigger.
Keep me posted
Teags Said,
Will let you know how I get on xxx
Katy Said,
I’m on the last day and I feel great! I won’t know the exact weight loss until this afternoon, but my guess is 10 or 11lbs, judging by how loose my trousers are this morning! I was not a complete saint, I did have the odd extra slice of bread with egg, tea with milk & sugar and ketchup and low fat mayo with my tuna, but I didn’t feel these were enough to set me back too much and they evidently didn’t!
I don’t feel I have ‘missed out’ or struggled at all on this diet, so I would definitely be interested in doing it long term, even if only Mon-Fri and then a treat at the weekend.
This is a lot easier than the Sacred Heart diet. I didn’t think I would lose as much on this one because it wasn’t as tough, but the variety makes it easy to follow, but with the same results! Only downfall (as strange as it sounds) is that I don’t feel I have achieved as much because I didn’t suffer enough! I guess I shouldn’t complain though!!
Teags Said,
Pink grapefruit isnt too bad, tastes like an orange!
not going to weight myself untill sunday night.
my work colleagues were trying to tempt me with tasty foods today. i resised!
Alex Said,
I also felt tierd for the first few days but it does pass, just keep drinking the water. I also found that a glass of grapefruit juice when I felt hungary helped a lot.
You do get used to it so the diet does get easier.
I am on my last day today so will let you know the results when I weigh in tomorrow.
Good luck!
Katy Said,
Thought I would touch base with the final weigh in - 11lbs lost! Am really please and feel great.
I felt tired on the first day as well - may be the second day as well. I found that I really noticed a difference in the way I looked and felt on the fifth day. Quite far in, but worth the wait!!
I agree with Alex that grapefruit juice helps with the hunger. I always drank juice instead of actually eating grapefruit as I found it a lot nicer and less hassle! I’m still carrying on the routine of having fruit for lunch…etc. so hopefully I’ll lost a bit more
Alex Said,
Well done Katy. I weighed in this morning and also lost 11IBs, really pleased with the loss.
I didn’t feel like eating a lot this morning so I stuck with dry toast. I think your body must get used to eating less. I feel really good and my clothes are a lot looser. It proves the loss shows on your body just as much as the scales.
Good luck everyone, its tough the first few days but once you are over that its managable.
Teags Said,
You don’t have to answer, but can I ask what you weighed to start off with? I only ask because I have friends who want to do this diet and they aren’t exactly large so I was thinking this might not be possible for them to lose 11lbs in a week
blush Said,
i have been reading the comments and know from previous diets that many times you will feel bad in the beginning (dizzy, headaches, etc) much because you are detoxing from all the crap you usually eat - sugar is the biggest culprit. Our bodies get used to those things and then have withdrawals when they are gone. So stick to it. if you think the bad feelings are from hunger than eat more of the ingredients on the diet - i.e., eat more fruit at lunch, eat 2 pieces of toast, 2 eggs, etc. QUANTITIES aren’t as important as the specific combination of foods each time of the day.
Also - exercising will make you hungrier and feel weaker - this is VERY LOW CALORIE. So if you do plan on exercising a lot - you have to eat more, just eat more of each thing on the diet. If you read back you will notice that those that exercised hard, had a hard time staying on the diet.
i also think the amount of weight you lose depends on your age, sex, and weight. Males. those that are younger and those that are heavier will show more loss.
i am finishing day 2 on a Sunday so got my weekend over with first. lost 2 lbs in the first day.
Last- here’s a diet tip: put on your tight pants at night and the tightness will remind you of why you are dieting / will remind you to BE GOOD.
Katy Said,
blush Said,
But am glad to read back on success stories to give me motivation. Am in the middle of day 4 and it is HARD! But am still on track - losing 2lbs a day.
Thanks for the tip also on drinking the grapefruit instead of eating it. Have done that also. Much easier!
Katy Said,
I’ve just started the plan again after moving house at the weekend and having a few takeaways and am on day two. I was pretty hungry last night. I had two slices of dry bread with my eggs (as I did the last time I did the plan) but it isn’t something that drastically affects the results and it makes it more bearable, so why not I say!
blush Said,
i had lost 9lbs as of this morning.

Shannon Said,
However as i have now had five to six christmas dinners i will start again on Monday.
Stick to the diet,i do it for 10 days and lose a stone.I am 15 stone and 5.11
I will get to 13 st 10lb and then drink and be merry again.I hate the gym although with the diet ,try to swim a couple of times a week.
I am a Smoker which does help with the diet hunger although i will pack in shortly.
Good luck all and i will let you know when i hit the target,
I stick too it no matter how much i wish to alter the rules.
Gravy can also be substituded for mashed tomato .
Anonymous Said,
I know that it states that we are allowed black coffee and tea. Does that mean black tea? I am ok with doing the diet, but need my tea. I do not have sugar in it, but just a little semi skimmed milk. Would the diet still work if i were stick with milk in my tea?
Good luck to everyone on this diet
Shannon Said,
You can have low Calorie Orange or Lemon.
I did not like Black Coffee, but have had it all the time now.
Katy Said,
As for those who wonder whether you put the weight back on really quick afterwards - I lost 10lbs on it before Christmas and over Christmas I ate ANYTHING I wanted…pastry, cream, chocolate - all the high fat stuff. There was nothing I didn’t eat, which is unusual for me as I am always normally depriving myself of something. Anyway, I digest…
Despite eating loads of crap over Christmas, I still haven’t put all the weight back on, so I know this time that if I take it easy after coming off of it, I am confident I can continue to lose weight
Katy Said,
Anonymous Said,
I was watching a Paul McKenna show this afternoon, and it was about cravings. Basically he asked the audience to think of something they crave e.g. Chocolate. He then asked the audience to do the following whilst thinking about the food they most crave….
Tap gently above one eye , ten times
Then tap under the eye ten times
Keep thinking of the food.
Then tap your collarbone ten times,
Tap under your arm ten times,
Tap the side of your hand ten times,
Tap the top of your hand ten times,
Keep taping and without moving the head,
Look right then look left.
Then circle your eyes 360 degrees, one way and then the other
And this should stop you from your cravings.
It did work for me. I was craving chocolate, but did the exercise above and it actually stopped my craving. I hope it work for you.
Let me know what you thought about it. Even if you thought it was rubbish.
Shannon Said,
Went and started on a Saturday !!
Will be on it for 10 days in total, alraedy 8lb lighter and a bit cold with all the Salad and Fruit, still well worth it !!
Katy Said,
I’m just coming to the end of day 2 and am absolutely exhausted! I am so tired. I know it is where my body is almost ‘hungover’ from all the rubbish I ate over Christmas. I know I’ll feel in a few days though once my body is used to it
I tried the technique mentioned by ‘Anonymous’ - it does work, even if you do feel a bit silly! Hehe

I am going to start this Saturday and I am okay with the food list, but can you use salt and pepper in this diet.
Thanks

Shannon Said,
I use Low Salt as i need so much.
Dont do this diet if your weight is fine!!
Day 5 and find it hard as i forgot to eat today other than the Tuna which i like, however the Salad is getting a bit much.
I intent to change to Cabbage and Runner Beans instead of the Salad as not the warmest greeting after a day at work.
I intent to carry on for a further 5 days as my goal is 13.10.
I had enough drink over the Holiday period,a bit of Painting the walls the weekend to stop the Crave for drink and a Pizza.
I will also treat myself to a new set of Clobber, and an Indian when completed, and then may try Light Gym and a half sensible lifestyle.
l
Katy Said,
I agree, I couldn’t eat the eggs without salt!
It’s funny how you say you “forgot to eat”. I used to find it strange that people forget to eat, being a foody, but now my appetite has completely shrunk on this diet I totally see what you mean!!
The salad does get a bit much, I think I might have a small portion of steamed vegetables tonight.
I’m on a day 5 and have had a lot more energy yesterday and today, which is great. My clothes are feeling looser and I can see where I have lost weight
Keep up the good work everyone!!
Shannon Said,
I have enjoyed it, the weekends are the worst as no drink.
I am gping for another three days although will only loose a pound of two.
Light Gym work and being careful as i want that extra push to my ideal weight of 13.10 may even push to 13.8 lightest i have been for a few years.
Celebrate with 6 pints and an indian, before being careful again,
Cheated with 6 crackers in the week and 2 small peices of scrumptous pizza and still made 13lb !!!!!
Anonymous Said,
Well done on the weight loss. I too have finished my first week, but feel as if i have not lost anything. I stuck to the diet, i ate less than what was meant to be eaten over the week. I didn’t cheat. I just don’t know what else i was meant to do.
I will be very grateful if you could please share your secret.
Thank you.

Well done on your weight loss.
Thanks, I was quite upset thinking that i hadn’t lost anything. I did finally decide to get on the scales, I found that I had lost 9lbs. Not to bad, but was hoping to lose a little more.
I treated myself to a roast dinner today, but will be starting again tomorrow morning, this time i will be exercising a lot more. I have bought the Dancersize dvd, it looks like fun, so fingers cross.
Good luck Simon, I managed to do it for the week, and i am still alive, so if i could do it, anyone can!
mina Said,
my husband lost a stone,
my son a stone and half
me 10lbs
I used balsamic vinegar and garlic to marinate the lamb chops and it seemed to still work.
Struggled however with the fruit salads - but tried to warm up with herbal tea!!!
Tummy has definately shrunk so will continue with tummy crunches
xx
Katy Said,
I also used some flavouring with the meet. I used romemary with the lamb and curry powder on the steak, which made it a lot more enjoyable! I’m off of it for a week now and being very good (just as strict, but with different things) then I’ll probably go on it again in a week or too for another burst
Good luck Simon! The hardest part I think is only eating fruit when you are starving hungry, so try and vary it and make it a bit more interesting, otherwise you will will get fed up with it!!
Katy Said,
I have started a group for this on Facebook. Search for ‘The Chemical Diet’ and you’ll find it. Hope to see you there!!
Steve-O Said,
Seems to be good after reading nearly all the comments (eek)
Last week i started going to the gym, been 4 times and played football once each for an hour at a time. Lost about a stone already, that was with no strict diet just veg and calorie controlled foods (i.e. weight watcher frozen food). Steak and instead of bread Ive ate wraps.
Think il go for this because i want to detox my body and this is exactly what that will do.
i think that stone could be mostly my water retention so with this diet i think it will truly benefit me.
Wish me luck
TIP: for the people doing this diet while exercising. You have to remember muscle weighs more than fat. So if your doing cardio work outs it will develop your muscles more and possibly not show as much weight loss as without doing the exercise (although doing the cardio workouts would be better for you in the long run as while the fat goes the muscle will be getting toned at the same time)
Summer Said,
Anybody wif any tips or ideas wud be more than appreciated.

I think this diet will really work! It’s cutting down calories in a big way. I don’t think fruit flavoured teas will do anything - they don’t contain fat. I’m not sure about the sweeteners so can’t advise on that. (In any case, you will still lose loads of weight even with sweeteners!)
I’m pretty lazy too, and I feel lucky to have motivation from friends to go to the gym. When I dieted a year ago, I wasn’t going to the gym much, but I did dance lots. Sounds silly, but put on your fave music at home & have a good dance!! :o)

I’m just wondering about the contents of the salad - I always thought that colourful salads are healthier, can we include all sorts of veg? How did you get on Sarah? What sort of salad did you use?
With regard to the tea, would peppermint or nettle tea be allowed? Think they’re meant to be good for digestion… I don’t drink coffee and hate the thought of drinking black tea, but don’t think I could give up a cuppa something hot!
Someone (cant remember who) mentioned having a little porridge made on water for breakfast. How did that work? I’m a big believer in breakfast setting you up for the day, 1 slice of toast just wont cut it for me I don’t think!
Think I’ll go do a bit of a fruit shop now and ease myself into the shock over the next few days. Here goes nothing!
P.S Anyone fancy being my diet buddy from Tuesday?
Baby forum, Pregnancy forum, Parenting forum - Pregnancy, Baby and Parenting Club - Bounty Said,
Rosey Said,
I went and stocked up on a fridgefull of fruit and veg yesterday, and left out the carbs with my dinner last night as a sort of “warmup” for the diet. Found that I was STARVING without them, I had to have sooo much salad to compensate, and this was no leafy salad, I had tomatoes, cucumber, beetroot, spinach, red pepper, red onion, celery and brocolli in it so there was plenty of munch in it. Would that be ok? I know it says that it’s chemical and nothing to do with quanitities so does that mean we have a free rein with the quantity of the salad?
Had the toast with tomato this morning and thought it was yummy, I did cheat a little and put some basil on too though.
Can’t wait to get cracking on it (gonna polish off all my dairy and biccies first though!). Anyone care to join me?
Rosey Said,
That will make it so much easier not to snack in work. We have MOUNTAINS of cakes/sweets etc to tempt at tea break. When I have a cuppa black tea I just feel compelled to have a biccie, but odly enough when I have herbal tea I don’t feel the same need for something sweet. So if I don’t have a “tea-withdrawal” headache I’ll stick to the herbal teas at tea break hopefully.
Anyway, I know it’s early yet but so far so good. Breakfast was yum and I’m just going to make up a giant fruit salad now for lunch, double yum! I’ve actually lost two pounds over my two days of “warmup” so I’m pretty pleased to say the least.
Anyone else out there starting into this crazy diet too?

Isn’t there anyone out there who will buddy up?

Gonna try start again tomorrow. Day 1 for about the 4th time!
Anonymous, I defo wouldn’t recommend eating the grapefruit on it’s own for breakfast. Your stomach is so empty it needs something to counteract the acidity of the fruit, I had terrible heartburn after doing that. I don’t know if the dry toast would fit in to the chemical rules of the diet, but it’s probably your best bet.
Having said that, based on my track record I’m no authority on this!

Having said that I am still loosing weight due to simply taking a few things from the diet and incorporating them into my crappy diet. The weight loss is slower but at least it’s happening - about half a stone in two weeks. The only thing is that I’ve been very “sickly” all this week…not sure if that’s related to the diet or not. Not a full blown illness, but sore throat, v tired, etc etc.
Anyway, today is supposedly the toughest day, so best of luck and stay strong!

Anonymous, good luck on your maple syrup diet,it sounds yummy!
Sam, 16lbs is amazing! did you follow it 100% or add or take away anything different? And if you dont mind me asking, did you have quite a bit of weight to lose?
I think peppers would be ok,not sure of sweetcorn as they are not a salad item you would find amongst the salad things in the supermarket,if that makes sense! My salad consists of,lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, beetroot, sping onions. And i squeeze lemo juice over it for flavour.
I am also drinking green tea and dandelion tea as well to speed things up,anyone else done this?

Just eaten a yummy plate of salad and boiled eggs! I actually have quite a few boiled eggs in my regular diet so this was no bother for me. I tend to eat quite healthily at meal times but I am a serial snacker (crisps, chocs, bread etc!) so this will be good for me to just stick to the 3 meals a day!
I have spent the day on the beach today which was nice as I just took a large bottle of water and some fruit to snack on and tried to ignore the ice cream stall and the faint smell of nearby BBQ’s!! Haha!
So, one day nearly down! I will keep you all updated - and Good Luck to everyone else doing this diet!!! We can do it!!!! xx
Claire Said,
What part of the world are you from,i am in the UK and i’m guessing you must be somewere a lot warmer if you were at the beach today, altho it has been nice here today, but not that nice!
Lynsey Said,
Some friends just came around with wine to drink and I politely refused and stuck to water….PHEW!
Have you had any substitutes or additions to the diet which have helped you? I am prepared to do the entire diet just as it is but if you have any tips I’d be very grateful. Have you had fruit smoothies as well as fresh fruit? Have you just stuck to 3 meals a day or did you snack on the fruit during the day also?
Keep up the hard work! xxx
Claire Said,
I am up in the not so sunny midlands!
I havant subsided anything in the diet,i have stuck to three meals a day and havant snacked at all.I havant had any smoothies, just the fresh fruit at mealtimes, but lots of it.I have been drinking green tea and dandelion tea and lots of water.I thought to be on the safe side tat i had better not go off the plan at all but its been quite tough! I have been squeezing lemon juice on my salads and fish which has been nice.
Good luck!
Lynsey Said,
I am orginally from the Midlands! Coventry to be precise. Well there’ll be no beach for me today as it’s thundering and lightening at the moment and pouring down! So a day inside looks evident, bad luck as I tend to snack more when I’m at home. But not today!!! I have had my breakfast today of boiled egg and grapefruit, it was fine! I feel full enough. I don’t mind the grapefruit at all and I’ve heard it’s good to start the day on as it kick starts your motabolism and helps your digestion.
Good for you for keeping to the diet so well! I did have a banana as an afternoon snack yesterday but I figure that can’t be anywhere near as bad as a packet of biscuits!! (?)
Have you weighed yourself yet? How do you feel and look, any different? I am keen to find out as reading past posts on here has been so interesting! Quite a few people seem to give up after day 3 or 4 and I’d love to know why - or even if they noticed a weight difference after just a few days! Have you dieted like this before? This is my first time doing any diet at all really so I’m really keen!
Thanks so much for the tips and hints, I will get some green tea, I have had it before and it’s not bad at all.
Take care and have a lovely Sunday in the Midlands!! xxx
Claire Said,
I am in Nottinghamshire, about an hour or so from Coventry. We have lovely sunshine again today.
I have been following slimmin world diet for 6 months and have lost 5st,but i just wanted to do this diet to kick start my system as i was getting a bit fed up.I still have about 4st to lose and when i finish this diet i will step up the exercise and continue with the slimming world plan,I do the gym 5 times a week but have only gone twice while being on this diet as i would probably pass out thru lack of food!
I havant weighd myself yet cos i think if i did and i hadnt lost much i would be heading dow to the local chippie! So i will weigh in on Tuesday when i have done my full week.Do i feel ay different, well my jeans do feel looser yes and i think my frame looks smaller ut tat could just all be in my mind i dont know.
Day 6 today, just grapefruit juice for breakfast, not good! I do have chicken for tea to look forward to tho and on day 7 tommorrow the menu is good,i will be practially eating like a king!
Good luck,stick with it!!
Claire Said,
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lynsey Said,
Well done for getting to day 7!! Fantastic work! That is truly amzing that you have already lost 5 stone!!!!!! My Goodness!! You must be one determined woman - brilliant!
I am on day 3 today and feeling okay! I thought I’d be really hungry but I don’t really, and if I feel a wave of hunger pass over me I just down a bottle of water! Seems to be working! I weighed myself yesterday (day 2) and I had lost about 2 lbs but I will see how much I’ve lost after today!
Good Luck with your last day and Thanks so much for the encouraging words! It certainly helps! I hope the day goes well for you and that you continue to lose the weight you want rid of! I’m sure you will do, you seem like a very determined person!
Congratulations again and take care! Bye for now xxxxx
Claire Said,
Oh well,i’ve got spinach to look forward to later.
Keep up the good work Lynsey!
Claire Said,
Good luck to anyone else trying this diet.
Lynsey Said,
I certainly FEEL lighter - I don’t feel bloated after eating or feel ‘full up’ which is a good feeling, I think it’s the lack of carbs, I usually eat alot of pasta, potatoes, bread etc.
I had a Banana this morning after my bike ride to give me a bit of energy - so technically cheating but I shouldn’t think it will do me too much harm!! I’m not going to feel guilty about it!!!
Haven’t weighed in yet so will see if the scales have changed since last time!
Well done to Claire for completing the week - let us know how much you have lost!
If there is anyone else out there doing this diet please post a comment to let us know how you’re doing!
xx
Jane and Kaz Said,
Me and my work college Kaz are going to try this starting tomorrow!!
Ahhhhh, i am going to visit a friend, and i havent seen him in a while.
And my boyfriend has a fab body now so i need this kick start,
Do you think if i follow this to the tee and exercise i will lose a stone????
HONESTLY?
Im going to start tomorrow so i will keep you updated.
xxxxx
Lynsey Said,
Good Luck with starting the diet tomorrow - let us know how you get on with it! I have found it to be quite a good diet so far - although I am only on day 4! I will be very suprised if I lose a whole stone as I have not been able to keep to the diet word for word! I haven’t been really naughty but I have added a few ‘extras’ as felt very hungry and tired on just a slice of dry toast for breakfast this morning! I have lost a few pounds so far but will let you know what my final weight is!
It seems that every one on here who has tried it and followed it as the diet says has lost some weight although not every one has lost a stone!
I hope it goes well for you both - Keep us updated!!
Claire Said,
So would i do it again? probably not,i am very sceptical of anyone on here who says its possible to be honest, still i know 8lbs in a week is good going. But when you have stuck to it rigidly like i have its dissapointing.
Anyways, good luck to anyone who still wants to give it a go.
Lynsey Said,
I understand how you feel, I have been following this diet quite well although I haven’t been able to stick to it as rigid as you have! I have lost a few pounds - I am on day 5 now and last night I felt truly awful! No energy and quite queasy. I really struggled to get up this morning too.
I am suprised that you have not lost more weight as you have have kept to the plan so well, but well done for losing 8lbs! It’s still very good!
I think I am going to complete this week’s diet but then look for a different one which will allow me to eat better and I have felt very weak doing this one. Its a tough one to do that’s for sure! Perhaps it’s not for everyone but I have enjoyed doing this diet nevertheless and it’s been an eye opener!
Claire, take care and good luck losing the extra 4 stone - you’ll do it! If you discover any more diets along the way which you find are good please let us know!!
Lynsey xxx
Kay Said,
Will having orange juice or water be ok instead of grapefruti?
Thanx
Kay
Anonymous Said,
There must be something to the diet that works!
Jo Said,
We both agreed that although the diet doesn’t look much on paper, we were never hungry.
I must admit, the hardest thing for me was the grapefruit - if I never see another grapefruit again I won’t be sorry - but I persevered and made sure the grapefruit was eaten at the beginning of the meal so I could enjoy the rest (and get rid of the taste!)
To anybody thinking about trying this diet, be prepared for a regimental week. No more snacking in front of the telly - we actually went out more to stop ourselves sitting thinking about the food we would normally be eating!
All in all, we are both thrilled with the results - in fact, we are definitely going to be doing it again - in three weeks, to be precise. Still got some weight to lose between us and this is definitely the easiest way I’ve found to do it.
Good luck to everyone else on the diet and to those who are about to start.
Jo

lizahg30 Said,
Hows everyone doing?
I started slim-fast last week, I only lost one lb, was gutted, I am going to give it another week but if weight loss is poor I will definetly be doin thid diet. I am going on hols soon and start university in september and promised myself to be thin and fit for that.
I worry though that with four kids to look after and school hols fast approaching , will I have energy for it?
xx
claire Said,
Dont do it,its not worth it,it may look like a quck fix but it all goes on again ad it takes yourt body a while to re ajust to more food again. There is no way that i would be tempted to do it again.Plus most of the weight yiou lose is water so you wont actually look any different even if you lose the stone.

lizahg30 Said,
Thanks for showing me the negative side which I think is important.
It’s one of those things though where curiosity may win over, but I’ll certainly be thinking long and hard about it rather than just rushing in

Macca Said,
How are you getting on with it C Louise? I am thinking of doing this soon and was just wondering if you are allowed to drink as much of the permitted drinks as you like? Also I like green tea so is that allowed? And finally, when people are having salad as part of the dinner, what exactly are we allowed to put in the salad or what has worked foy you?
Thanks,
Macca.

lizahg30 Said,
my friend who had the hobnobs and yohurt has lost 7lbs and she on day3 same as me, i dont even want to chance weighing myself i’d be gutted if was same lol. well macdonaldswas fine i confess i fogot to order diet irn-bru so had norm but dd have chargrilled chicken salad with no dressing so i’m cool with that plus they were a bit skimpy with the chicken,,,grrr.
i cant wait till friday cheese mmmmmmm. how u going with urs?
liz x
iwant2bethin! Said,
glad maccies went well and good on you for not giving into temptation!
cant say the same about myself. on top of what i was meant to eat today, i had a tuna salad. bit disappointed with myself as its only day 3 and already im cheating lol. but it was plain salad, no dressing just salt and pepper, but i did have a hell of a lot of tuna. hope it doesnt make a difference seein as its not like i had bread or chocolate or anything sugary.
im with you on the weighing bit. it would be well disheartening if u hadnt thought what u had expected.
so jealous u get to have cheese on friday! hehe. i will defo try that diet when iv finished this one! do your clothes feel looser yet? mine dont seem to
lizahg30 Said,
I ate heaps for about a week before started diet am hoping tha wont affect my first week, dya think it will?
iwant2bethin! Said,
i ate loads before the diet too, i think it probbaly will slow the weight loss down a bit but not loads.
well i have officially fell off the wagon. i have been a pig these past 2 days. ad when i say pig, i mean PIG lol. yesterday i had a whole large pizza to myself which was dripping in fat and meat and i’ve also managed to eat a whole jar of nutella over teh course of 2 days, as well as 3 packets of hobnobs (to go with the nutella of course… lol).
i’m gonna start slimfast tomorrow instead as this diet is way too restricting for my likes. i would never have pigged out like that had i had a bit more choice with foods. ah well, u win some u lose some ey.
i will report back here when i’ve started slim fast and let u know how that goes instead!
hows urs going? hope ur still going strong, unlike me. you’ll be finishing your first week soon so hang on in there! and even though it makes u feel shitty having hardly any food, i can tell u it makes u feel even shittier when u fall off the wagon and have to start all over!
